Against power project, says Ramadas
Mysore, July 27 (UNI) Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister and MLA Mr S A Ramadas today said he would oppose the setting up of thermal power plant at Chamalapura, near H D Kote in the district.
Speaking to newsmen, he said he was of the view that any project that would affect ecology and environment of an area should not be taken up.
He said Power Minister K S Eswarappa's statement was wrongly interpreted. It was wrong to say the present government was going ahead with the project.
Asked about the proposed agitation by people on July 30 in front of his residence, he said he would also join them as he was also opposing the project.
