Seven killed in road accident at Sabarkantha

Ahmedabad, Jul 26 (UNI) Seven people including a boy, were killed and six others injured, when a tanker overturned after hitting a roadside bump and colliding with a jeep, which was speedily following it, at Manpur village near Shihori town in Banaskantha district.

According to police, the incident took place at around 2030 hours last night, after both the drivers lost control over their vehicles.

The deceased were identified as Jaideep Chandubha (10), Lalbhai Madhuji, Deviba Mahendrabha, Vala Jitubha, Jeniba Vaghela, Banesinh Vaghela and Umiyaba Chandubha, police said. Drivers of the both the vehicles were also injured.

The injured were admitted to the hospitals in Patan and Palanpur towns in North Gujarat, police said. Investigations are going on and no arrests have been made so far, they added.
