Infiltration bid foiled on LOC in Poonch
Jammu, Jul 26 (UNI) An infiltration bid was today foiled by Security forces when the Pakistani troops opened fire on Indian posts near Line of Control (LOC), in tehsil Mendhar of bordering Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.
''Some miscreants from across the LOC in forward area of tehsil Mendhar opened fire on our posts and attempted to infiltrate from Bhimber Gali area early morning,'' the official sources told UNI.
''The miscreants however, were sheltered by the Pakistani troops but the infiltration attempt was foiled by the Indian troops. The fire was not retaliated from this side of the border,'' the sources added.
