EMRI launches 23 additional 108 ambulances in state
Hyderabad, July 26 (UNI) The Emergency Management and Research Institute, in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh Government, today launched 23 additional 108 ambulances in the state.
The vehicles were flagged off by Health and Family Welfare Minister Sambhani Chandrasekhar, according to a press release here.
The first batch of 23 ambulances is among the 150 additional ambulances proposed to be added by the month end. These ambulances will be deployed at each district to strengthen the current number of ambulances.
''The contribution of 108 Emergency Response service towards saving lives have been immense. The service is not only recognised but also appreciated by the people in rural areas,'' Mr Chandrasekhar said.
