CPM veteran Surjeet Singh critical

{image-surjeet singh_26072008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Noida, Jul 26: Marxist leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet, who was admitted to a local hospital recently, is said to be in a critical condition.

Dr Purushottam Lal of Metro Hospital said the CPM leader has been put on ventilator support and doctors were keeping a close watch on his health. Mr Surjeet (92) was admitted to the hospital on July 7 following ill health. In May, Mr Surjeet was admitted to the same hospital in Noida's Sector 12, where he slipped into coma owing to acute respiratory problems. He was discharged in June.
