CPI, other parties to launch agitations against UPA govt
Bangalore, Jul 26 (UNI) Communist Party of India(CPI) national secretary D Raja today said a series of agitations and campaigns would be launched against the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, which has lost its moral authority after it indulged in political opportunism in winning the 'trust vote'.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the Left, along with ten like-minded parties, would launch several nationwide agitational programmes to protest the UPA government's anti-people policies and its failure to bring down the prices of essential goods.
Mr Raja also criticised the emerging role of money power to garner votes in favour of the Congress-led UPA government recently.
''India will see in the coming days the realignment of political forces like the Left parties, Janata Dal(Secular) and Bahujan Samaj Party to forge a viable alternative to the present bi-polar politics of the Congress and BJP,'' he added.
