Bhuta Singh reviews SC issues in Tirupati
Tirupati, Jul 26 (UNI) National Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Bhuta Singh today instructed the officials to strictly implement the rule of reservation for Scheduled Castes in the field of education and employment.
Addressing a review meeting attended by various department heads, including Home and Revenue, Mr Singh, who arrived here on a two-day visit, asked the police officials to implement the Supreme Court orders strictly while investigating rape cases related to SCs.
He reviewed the progress of various developmental works being taken up by the Government for the benefit of the SCs.
Earlier, the Commission received representations from various SC organisations, including the Andhra Pradesh SC Welfare Association, on the TTD conducting socio-religious activity of Dalit Govindam by prefixing caste indication.
Later, Mr Singh proceeded to Tirumala for darshan of Lord Venkateswara and after night halt, he would participate in the morning rituals at Tirumala temple tomorrow morning, before conducting a review meeting on the TTD Management.
