8 killed, 2 injured in car accident
Dehra Dun, Jul 26 (UNI) At least eight people were killed and two injured when huge rocks trigerred by a landslide fell on the vehicle they were traveling in, near Joshimath block of Chamoli district this morning .
All the ten passengers hailed from Uttar Pradesh and were on their way to Badrinath from Chamoli, Disaster Management officials told UNI today.
The incident occured around 1015 hrs when the vehicle veered off the road after a huge rock triggered by a landslide fell on it, killing eight and leaving two injured.
The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital and rescue operations were still on, they said.
