1.12 crore job cards distributed in MP
Bhopal, Jul 26 (UNI) More than 1.12 crore job cards have been distributed so far in Madhya Pradesh to the beneficiaries of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Till June end this year, more than 26 lakh people have been provided employment under the scheme for which the Centre had given Rs 1477 crore along with the state's matching contribution of Rs 164 crore, official sources said.
The central assistance under the scheme is directly earmarked to the districts. Altogether 1,12,85,566 job cards had been distributed till June end this year.
A total of 48,541 works had been completed so far, while another 2,01,599 works were under progress.
