Woman commit suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar Jul 25 (UNI) A woman commited suicide in the Kashmir valley where the number of such incidents has increased in the recent past despite a Fatwa by Muslim Ulemas against it.

Official sources said today that 30-year-old Rafiqa Begum consumed some poisonous substance in her house at Chatoosa Dangiwacha Baramulla.

She was immediately taken to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

It was not immediatley known why she took this extreme step.

The trend of commiting suicide in the Kashmir valley has registered an increase.

The Muslim Ulemas have declared suicide against the teachings of Islam and holy prophet.
