Teachers Associations hold dharna to press demands

Puducherry, July 25(UNI) Members of the Federation of the Teachers Associations today went on a half-day casual leave enmasse and held a dharna in front of the Education Department to press their demands.

They were demanding among other things, permission to pursue higher education, implementation of career progression scheme(ACP), filling up of the vacant posts and introduction of counselling to finalise transfer.
