SP files petition against Advani for defaming Amar Singh
Lucknow, Jul 25 (UNI) Taking great exception to the alleged defamation of the Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh during the confidence motion in Parliament, SP leader and former Lucknow Nagar Nigam corporator Kishori Lal Yadav today moved the CBI court seeking action against four BJP leaders, including Lal Krishan Advani.
Mr Yadav filed a petition in Additional Chief Juducial Magistrate (CBI) Rajendra Prasad Tripathi's court. The court will hear the case on August 8.
It was stated in the petition that the senior BJP leaders-- Advani, Ashok Argal, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora attempted to malign the image of the SP by waving currency notes in Parliament allegedly given to them by Mr Amar Singh to abstain from voting during the trust vote on July 22.
Mr Yadav urged the court to hand down a punishment to the opposition leaders under section 500 of IPC.
The court accepted the petition and fixed the hearing for August 8.
