Revenue officer caught red handed taking bribe

Patna, Jul 25 (UNI) Vigilence Bureau sleuths under the leadership of Additional Director General Maharaja Kanisk Kumar Singh today caught red-handed a revenue employee, Sunil Mahato, of Roah block of the Nawada district and arrested him while taking bribe.

Director General of State Vigilance Bureau Nilmani said on the basis of a written complaint from Ramadheen Kumar, a dweller of Maniachawk village under Roah police station, that the revenue officer had demanded bribe for clearing the mortgage of land, the vigilence sleuths laid a trap and arrested the officer when he was taking Rs 3000 as bribe.

The accused would be produced before the special Vigilance court tomorrow.
