NDA, Left brought shame to democracy

Kanpur, Jul 25: Coming down heavily on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Left, Union minister of state for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal today said the behaviour of their Lok Sabha members during the trust vote was against democracy.

The MP's against the Nuclear Deal seem to have forgotten all their ethics inside Parliament, Mr Jaiswal said addressing newsmen here.

These Lok Sabha members even disobeyed the instructions of Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, he charged.

The minister alleged that the waving of wads of money inside the Lok Sabha was the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) ''pre-planned act.'' He also said the Nuke-deal was ''beneficial'' to India as it would help generate more power.
