NABARD district office attacked by CPI(ML) activists

Kannur, Jul 25: The CPI(ML) activists ransacked the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) district office on Friday, July 24, at Pallikunnu in Thulichery, damaging files, laptops and other office equipments.

Police said five activists entered the office-cum-residence of the Assistant General Manager P A Premchandran early on Friday, July 25 morning and said they wanted to talk to him about some agriculture related issues. They issued a pamphlet, stating this was a symbolic stir against the Centre and state Governments for pursuing policies which went against poor farmers. Police have registered a case.
