Constable's body recovered
Shillong, Jul 25 (UNI) The Meghalaya police recovered two bodies, including that of a constable, from different parts of the state.
Official sources said here today that the body of a constable of the state police was recovered from a drain at Rajaju in West Khasi Hills district yesterday.
The constable hailed at the Mawlai area of Shillong and was missing from July 21.
Another body was recovered from a jungle at Kyndongtuber under Jaintia Hills district.
Relatives of the victim reportedly told the police that a group of miscreants stabbed him to death on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a miscreant was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl at Sohryngkham village.
The accused has been remanded to police custody.
