Cong slams Left for backing communal parties
Jaipur, Jul 25(UNI) The Congress today criticised Left parties for having truck with "communal BJP backed political grouping" and alleged that the new group of UNPA and BSP was a mere subsidiary of BJP and NDA.
Talking to reporters here Congress spokespersons Mohan Prakash said the Left parties had gone with BSP supremo Mayawati who had earlier formed government in UP with support from BJP.
Mr Prakash said the Left parties who had been unduly charging the Congress for allegedly mortgaging India's foreign policy to the US had now opted to sit with a new Mayawati led grouping whose BSP neither had foreign nor economic policy.
He alleged the UNPA and BSP were pretending to advance politics of third front in daylight while being busy in parleys with the BJP leadership on seat sharing in evenings.
The Congress leader said that Congress and its UPA allies did symbolise truck for progressive and pro-development politics while the BJP backed UNPA, BSP and Left parites denoted social and economic backwardness in the country.
