Blasts triggered to disturb peace: CM
Bangalore, Jul 25(UNI) Reacting sharply against the serial blasts in the IT capital that claimed a life, Karantaka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said that the heinous act was intended to trigger panic among people and disturb peace.
In his initial reaction he appealed the people not believe in rumours and panic.
He announced a solatium of Rs one lakh to the woman who died in the blast while waiting for a city bus in Madiwala. The government would also ensure proper medical treatment to the injured who were admitted to two private hospitals.
Meanwhile Home Minister V S Acharya denied that there was an intelligence failure and said that the police had been ever alert.
Opposition Congress had alleged that the blasts was the result of intelligence failure on part of police.
