ASUS launches India's largest mini book at Rs 26,990 onwards

New Delhi, Jul 25 (UNI) ASUS, a global major in notebooks and mobile phones, today launched India's first notebook 'Eee PC 1000H' and 'Eee PC 904H' priced at Rs 29,990 and Rs 26,990 respectively in association with Intel and Microsoft.

''We plan to sell almost 10 thousand units every month as we do not have a competitor in this segment,'' ASUS General Manager (APAC, West Asia and Africa) Benson Lin told reporters here.

The Eee PC 1000H, a 10-inch notebook powered by Intel AtomTM processor, runs on Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

The Eee PC 904H, a 8.9-inch notebook, is based on Intel Mobile and Windows XP operating system.

The notebooks, the largest mini books launched in the country, will be available in the market from first week of August.

Mr Lin said the company plans to ship almost five million units of Eee PC globally this year.

The portable computing device features large 10 inch display, an exclusive Super Hybrid Engine for longer battery lifespan of up to five hours, Dolby Sound Room, built-in Bluetooth and a keyboard that is 95 per cent size of generic notebooks facilitating easier and relaxed typing.

It pairs a 1.3M Pixel webcam with its wireless Internet connection capabilities for easier web communications and increased work efficiency.
