Alex Rodriguez indulges in some retail therapy

New York, July 25 : Alex Rodriguez went on a spending spree on a recent trip to LA.

The Yankee star, who's being divorced by wife Cynthia, dropped a bundle at Barneys Beverly Hills.

"He bought sweaters, including a bunch of cashmere zip-up hooded sweatshirts that were about 1,200 dollars each," the New York Post quoted a source, as saying.

"It was around 50,000 dollars total, a lot of it from Italian designer Brunello Cucinelli," the source added.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez's friends have claimed that he was an 'emotionally abused' husband, and that his wife Cynthia gave him permission to see other women.
