Alert sounded in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Jul 25 (UNI) In the wake of serial bomb blasts at Bangalore in Karnataka, the Gujarat government today sounded a red alert in the state to prevent any untoward incident.
According to the official sources, following the serial bomb blasts in Bangalore, the alert was sounded in Guajrat as a precautionary measure.
The sources said all state law-enforcement agencies have been put on high alert, and they have been asked to keep a tight vigil at all the crucial and strategic points in Gujarat.
Besides this, security has been tightened at all major railway stations, state and city transport depots in all major cities and towns of the state.
While in Ahmedabad, police have intensified patrolling in all communal sensitive areas also. Similarly, security has been beefed up at Kalupur railway station and Gita Mandir state transport depot among others.
