31-year-old biker killed after being hit by MCD truck
New Delhi, Jul 25 (UNI) A 31-year-old shopkeeper died in Mandawali area of east Delhi after being hit by an MCD truck early today.
Ajay Dabral, who had a mobile shop in Mayur Vihar, died of head injuries before he could be admitted to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, following the accident around midnight, said the police.
''He was a resident of Shakarpur,'' it added.
The driver of the truck, which was coming from Mother Dairy side towards Mangalam Hospital, lost control after its tyre burst and hit Ajay coming from the opposite direction on his motorcycle.
Truck-driver Brijanand Yadav (22) has been arrested, the police added.
