3 antique Pancholoha idols stolen from Ram temple
Vijayawada, Jul 25 (UNI) Three antique Panchaloha Utsav idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshmana were stolen from a Ram temple in Velavadam village of Mylavaram Mandal in Krishna district today.
The idols, more than 100 years old, were stolen from the famous Kodanda Ram Temple by some unidentified repole, police said.
The priest of the temple locked it last night and left for his home. His mother, who came to the temple early in the morningtoday to clean it, was shocked when she saw the doors opened and the idols missing.
Later the priest lodged a complaint with the Mylavaram Police, who registered a case and began investigation.
The cost of the three idols was not known, police added.
