Upgraded road connectivity for Itanagar: Cabinet
New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved upgradation of national highway stretches connecting Itanagar to four-lane standards, which will ease the traffic flow and bolster the socio-economic development of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
To complete the pre-construction activities tendering for the 4-lane project from Nagaon to Jamgudi has been taken up on annuity basis and that from Jamgudi to Itanagar on EPC basis.
The project is linked with the upgradation of NH 37 A (Silghat-Tezpur )and construction of a new highway near Tezpur to Jamgudi on NH52 along with the major bridge over river Jia Bharali.
