UHBVN to ensure adequate tubewll connections
Chandigarh, July 24 (UNI) In order to ensure release of adequate tubewll connections to the applicants, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has targeted to release 10,000 new connections during the current financial year.
A Nigam spokesman said here today that the Nigam would release 2150 connections in Jind district, 1850 in Kurukshetra and Kaithal, 1700 in Yamuna Nagar, 1250 in Karnal, 950 in Sonepat, 850 in Panipat, 600 in Ambala and Panchkula, 350 in Jhajjar and 300 in Rohtak respectively.
He said the Nigam had targeted to release 7200 tubewell connections during 2007-08 whereas more than 11,000 connections had been released. This year also, the Nigam was likely to exceed the target for which necessary steps had been initiated, he added.
