Kerala: SL passenger deported from Kuwait

Kochi, Jul 24: A Sri-Lankan passenger has been deported from Kuwait at Nedumbassery airport near here after the immigration personnel in Kuwait Airport found his visa as forged S Arivalagan, belonging to Jafna in Srilanka, was on his way to Paris for seeking job.

Arivalagan, who left here on July 21, arrived back by Kuwait Airways flight KU 354 yesterday.

On interrogation Kochi immigration personnel at the airport found that Arivalagan was using the passport of one Pandirinath Gopi whose photo was similar to him in appearance.

Arivalagan reached India as a refugee about ten years ago.

However, he was handed over to Chengamanad Police for further investigation.
