Rupees opens 10-week high at 41.98/99

Mumbai, Jul 24: Spot Rupee on Thursday, July 24, opened ten weeks high at 41.98/99 against per US Dollar with a gain of ten paise from 42.08/09 on the previous day's close on sustained Dollar selling pressure by banks as reports of falling oil prices eased concerns about the country's trade deficit.

Later, the Rupee fluctuated between 41.82 and 42.04 during the mid-morning session. Rupee was at 41.84/85 per Dollar, its highest since May 12 and 0.6 per cent above on Wednesday, July 23, close of 42.08/09. It has climbed 2 per cent in the last two days, a dealer said.
