Marico posts PAT of Rs 46 cr: records 28 pc growth

Mumbai, Jul 24 (UNI) Marico posted PAT of 46 crore, an increase of 15 per cent against corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

The Company recorded a turnover of Rs 601 crore across all business segments during Q1FY09, registering 28 per cent growth over Q1FY08, a release issued here today stated.

Star performers of Marico included Parachute, which continued to maintain its leadership with a volume market share of 48 per cent in the branded coconut oils category, and showed volume growth of 8-10 per cent. The Company's Saffola refined edible oils grew by 28 per cent in volume over Q1FY08, boosted by the introduction of a new variant, Saffola Active.

The Company's international business also grew by 37 per cent during Q1FY09, the release said.
