Farmers stage protest against bank

Mysore, Jul 24 (UNI) Farmers from Mysore and Chamarajanagara districts today began an indefinite protest in front of a private bank in the city demanding the return of their tractors which the bank had allegedly seized for non-payment of loan installments.

The farmers staged the silent protest in front of the bank and urged the return of the tractors in the same condition when they were seized.

So far, the bank had seized 38 tractors from the farmers in the two districts, they alleged.

The bank staff had locked the premises from inside and were attending their work.
