Farmers stage protest

Mysore, July 24 (UNI) Farmers from Mysore and Chamarajanagara districts began an indefinite protest in front of ICICI bank in the city today demanding the return of their tractors which the bank had seized for non-payment of loan instalments.

Farmers, who staged a silent protest in front of the bank and urged for the return of the tractors to them in the same condition while being seized.

So far the bank had seized 38 tractors from the farmers in the two districts.

The bank staff had locked the premises from inside and were attending to their work.
