Diarrhoea claims 14 lives in UP district

Jaunpur, Jul 24 (UNI) The death toll due to diarrhoea in this Uttar Pradesh district reached 14 with four more deaths reported overnight.

As per the official sources, the fresh casualty comprised Karishma (5), Kamlesh (5) and Kundan (2). Another death was confirmed in Khuthan area.

Prior one week, eleven people had died in the district because of Diarrhoea. However, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Sharda Shukla had said people died after consuming stale food and not due to the diarrhoea.
