Corporator commits suicide

Nagpur, July 24 (UNI) A corporator, who had been recently elected to the general body of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in a by-election, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house, police said today.

The independent councillor Neena Purushottam Sonkusare (33), was found hanging from the ceiling of her house late last evening, police said.

Ms Sonkusare, who was unmarried, was found dead by her parents when they returned home after attending a function.

She was said to have been ailing for some time, police added.
