Congress leaders stage dharna

Rajkot, July 24 (UNI) Congress workers and farmers today staged a dharna in front of the office of the Pachim Gujarat Vidyut Company Limited (PGVCL) in Laxminagar area, protesting the erratic power supply in the region.

The farmers and Congress workers, led by former opposition leader in the Gujarat Assembly Arjun Modhwadia and Dhoraji MLA Vithhal Radadia staged the dharna this afternoon.

Modhvadia alleged that farmers of the region were not getting sufficient electricity and were struggling to save their crops following shortfall in the rains.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the officials of the PGVCL.
