Congress extends invitation to expelled BJP MPs
Bangalore, Jul 24 (UNI) Karnataka Congress today extended an invitation to expelled Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) MPs from Karnataka to join the Congress.
Speaking to newspersons here, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge said ''Congress doors are open for the expelled BJP Lok Sabha members, including Manorama Madhwaraj, H T Sangliana and Manjunath Kunnur.'' The trio were expelled by BJP yesterday for defying and voting in favour of Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre during 'Trust Vote' in the Parliament on July 22.
Mr Kharge added new President for KPCC may be announced in the first week of August.
