Civic Sanitary Sub-Inspector stabbed to death
Surat, Jul 24 (UNI) Sanitary Sub-Inspector of Surat Municipal Corporation was brutally murdered in his office today due to his alleged illicit relationship with a class-IV civic female employee.
Police said Dharemendra Patel, a resident of Tadad village in Olpad taluka working as a sanitary sub-inspector at Umrawada in Limbayat zone of Surat, was murdered in his office by Rajesh Babaria this morning. Rajesh inflicted four to six stab injuries to him with a knife in which, he died on the spot.
Ameena Bibi, secretary of Surat City Congress, who was present on the spot, said Dharmendra came out of his office bleeding and was accompanied by Rajesh, who was shouting ''I have killed the person who has destroyed my family''. Rajesh was nabbed by local people and was later handed over to the police.
H N Rathod, PSI of Salabatpura police said Jayshree, wife of Rajesh who worked as sweeper in Umarwada health center, was allegedly having illicit relationship with Dharmendra.
