CCEA approves revise scheme for primitive tribal groups
New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval for continuation of the scheme of 'Development of Primitive Tribal Groups' during 11th Plan with an outlay of Rs 670 crore, but with revised guidelines of the scheme.
The CCEA approved that two per cent budget of the scheme would be utilised for monitoring and management purposes.
The revised scheme would help focus on special intervention to cater to the socio-economic life of primitive groups.
The scheme is expected to bring about visible impact in the lives of Primitive Tribal Group by the end of 11th Plan period.
