BJP congratulates Nepal's new President

New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today congratulated Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav on his becoming the country's first ever President.

In his message Mr Singh said Mr Yadav's victory in the presidential polls was a defining moment not just for Nepal but the whole South Asian region. "I hope under your able guidance Nepal will emerge and establish itself as a vibrant democracy," he said. The BJP president said the people of India and the BJP were looking forward to his tenure with great optimism and he was sure that India and Nepal would continue to carry forward centuries of cultural relationship by maintaining cordial and peaceful bilateral relations in future also. "My party will be happy to extend full coopration and support in pursuing this objective," Mr Singh added.
