Badal announces ex-gratia grant of Rs 1 lakh for victims' kin

Chandigarh, Jul 24 (UNI) Expressing profound sorrow over the tragic private bus-harvest combine accident at Naushera Pannuan in Tarn Taran district in which six persons were killed and 12 injured, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs one lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased.

The Chief Minister also announced Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 each for the mishap victim with serious and minor injuries respectively.

Mr Badal asked the Deputy Commissioner Taran Taran to ensure free treatment to the injured and transportation of the bodies to their destination.

He expressed his heart felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved families and prayed to the alimighty to give strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed souls.
