B R Patil appointed AIPP General Secretary
Bangalore, Jul 24 (UNI) Former Karnataka Legislative Council Deputy Chairman B R Patil has been appointed as the All India Panchayat Parishad (AIPP) General Secretary.
In a letter, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Subodh Kant Sahay, who is also the AIPP President, said Mr Patil would be in charge of the southern region consisting of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep.
Mr Sahay said Mr Patil was selected considering his vast experience and commitment to decentralisation of power to the people through the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
