Advani is a 'lameduck" leader : Congress

New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) Describing BJP leader L K Advani as the "lameduck leader," the Congress Party today came down heavily on him for not restraining the Party cadres from attacking the houses of those BJP MPs who voted with the government in the July 22 trust vote in the Lok Sabha.

"Mr Advani is the weakest leader...He is the lameduck leader who has no control over his own cadres and the situation," AICC General Secretary in charge of Media Veerappa Moily told mediapersons while reacting to reports of attacks on the houses of the BJP MPs who were expelled from the party yesterday for violating the party whip and voting for the Manmohan Singh government.

Referring to the continuous attack on Dr Manmohan Singh by Mr Advani who once described him as "the weakest Prime Minister", he said "He (Mr Advani) does not know the manners and have no decency .

Is it the way a responsible leader of the Opposition speaks against the Prime Minister." "No Leader of Opposition has gone this low to take on the Prime Minister," Mr Moily said, adding that "If such an irresponsible leader becomes the Prime Minister, the God alone can save this country."
