ACB arrests APNPDCL official

Hyderabad, Jul 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (APNPDCL) Additional Assistant Engineer in Nizamabad district was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials when he accepted bribe of Rs 3000 from a complainant for doing an official favour.

The officials recovered the amount from the accused M Sadashiv.

He was arrested and would be produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB case here, a release said here today.

In another case, ACB unearthed assets worth about Rs 1.39 crore in the raids at the houses of Hyderabad Metro Water Works Supply and Sewerage Board Manager D Krishna Reddy and his brother-in-law Ch Anantha Reddy.

During raids conducted in the last three days, several incriminating documents pertaining to movable and immovable properties and net cash of Rs 78,500 were seized. The market value of total assets would be about Rs three crores, the release added.
