Tripura congress celebrates UPA success in 'Trust vote'

Agartala, July 23 (UNI) Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) today celebrated the victory of Manmohan Singh government in trust vote through various programmes across the state.

TPCC President Samir Ranjan Barman said here that the party workers had organised rallies in different parts of the state since morning.

The main rally was organised at Agartala where the people asserted that the congress would continue it's campaign in favour of Indo-US civil nuclear deal and other successes of UPA government, he added.

Stressing on the need of nuclear deal Mr Barman said, India is in dire need of a strong strategic partner like US and the left would understand it after two decades when China will be more powerful nation.

Meanwhile left party leaders made it clear that they would continue their agitation against steep hike in the prices of essential commo- dities and nuclear deal and will observe a day general strike on August 20.
