Summer holidays in Kashmir from tomorrow
Srinagar, Jul 23 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced an eight-day summer vacation in all educational institutions in the Kashmir division, excluding Leh and Kargil from tomorrow.
Officials said that all schools and other educational institutions, up to Higher Secondary, will remain closed from tomorrow.
The management of private educational institutions have also been directed to observe the summer vacations, they said, adding anybody found to have violated the order will have to face the action.
This year, only an eight-day summer holidays was announced for educational institutions, because nine working days were lost, as all schools and colleges remained closed due to strike and agitation from June 23 in protest against diversion of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
