Students blocked road, vandalised property over additional fee
Kanpur, Jul 23 (UNI) The students of a Har Sahai Jagdamba Sahai college today went on rampage and vandalised the college property allegedly over implementation of additional fee charges for a computer training programme.
Ranting slogans against the college administration, the students blocked the routes disrupting vehicular traffic here.
The students were alleging that the college management was demanding additional amount of money for computer training, which was inclusive in the fee structure.
They also alleged that the college was delaying the admission list for the same, police said.
Police used mild force to disrupt the agitaters, who had created traffic jam on P-road.
At least six students received minor injuries, however, one got grievously injured after he jumped off the college building. The injured have been sent to a hospital.
Police have been garrisoned at the college compound to avoid any further voilence.
