Six feared drowned in boat mishap at Supaul
Supaul, Jul 23 (UNI) At least six people were feared drowned when a boat carrying them capsized midstream in river Tiljua near Nirmali railway station here today.
Police said the ill-fated boat was ferrying about 25 to 30 people from Mahua ghat to Nirmali when the accident took place.
Six people, including a woman, went missing, police added.
The accident took place as the boat was overcrowded.
Police said the rest of the passengers swam to safety.
Divers had been pressed into service to fish out the bodies.
