Lok Sabha polls on due time: Chidambaram

Jaipur, Jul 23: The UPA government's win in the vote of trust in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, July 22, will have no bearing on the general election schedule and the same will be held on due time, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram said on Wednesday, July 23. Talking to reporters here, Mr Chidambaram said, ''there is no scope for uncertainty, elections will take place as per due schedule, that is, in May 2009''. This had been made clear on several occassions earlier too, he added.
