Like-minded people saved India :APCC

Tirupati, Jul 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president D Srinivas today said like-minded political party leaders had saved India by voting in favour of the UPA during the trust vote necessitated by the Left parties withdrawing support.

Addressing a press conference here, the party was ready to contest all 294 assembly constituencies in the state and the doors are open for like-minded parties to join it in the coming elections.

He said there was no other option for the Left parties but to align with the Congress.

To a question, he said the trust vote was held in Parliament in a democratic manner and nobody was offered any money or anything to vote in favour of the Congress.
