Five killed as Srinagar-bound bus rolls down into gorge
Jammu, Jul 23 (UNI) Several passengers were feared killed in a bus accident on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway-1A (NH-1A) early today.
Sources told UNI that a night service bus, heading towards winter capital city, plunged into a deep gorge at Sherbibi in Banihal area at around 0530 hrs.
''So far, five bodies of passengers have been brought out from the badly damaged bus while ten injured were rescued,'' a source said, adding that ''the rescue operation is going on and the death toll is likely to rise.'' UNI VJ CS PM0800
