Famous Ram-Sita deity stolen from Bihar temple
Darbhanga, Jul 23 (UNI) A precious metal statue of Ram-Sita was stolen from a temple at Thathopur in the district early today.
Police said the alleged theft was first detected when the priest of the famous Thathopur Brahmasthan temple Dular Chandra Singh opened the door for worshipping the deity.
He soon informed the local people as well as the police and lodged an FIR.
The police soon launched a search operation to recover the famous deity, made of eight metals, and arrest the culprists.
