easyCurry, the Indian restaurant, vows to fight for name

London, July 23 : The owners of the Indian restaurant easyCurry, have pledged to fight to keep its name, despite threats of a legal battle from multimillion-pound organisation easyGroup, which includes the airline easyJet and a fast-food supplier, easyPizza.

A spokesman for easyCurry said that it had been threatened with High Court action because of its name, style and the colour of its sign.

However, Naz Uddin added: "How can the word 'easy' belong to them? I don't think that can be right."

"If people are using those names then we will take the appropriate action," Times Online quoted Anthony Robb-John, the managing director of easyGroup, as saying.

The eatery easyCurry opened four weeks ago at Sol Central in Northampton.
